Useful Resources and Links

Yogapedia

Internet is a great source for learning about yoga. Because of how generously other yoga teachers share their knowledge online, I was able to learn more about alignment, yoga philosophy, and asana hacks. Instead of writing about the same things, I want to share my personal favorite links and resources and hope that you can benefit from it as well. This page is continuously updated - so check back soon.

Asana

I use Yoga Journal as a reference whenever I have questions about a certain asana - for the Vinyasa practice.

Breathing

In my opinion, the best explanation of why breathing is important - from Paramaguru Sharath Jois himself

Chakra

This test shows how balanced your chakras are and what you need to work on.

Yamas and Niyamas

Yamas and Niyamas are two first limbs of Yoga, the moral guidelines on how to treat yourself and others. I personally like this colorful image which is easy to understand and remember.

  1. Ahimsa

  2. Satya

  3. Asteya

  4. Brahmacharya

  5. Aparigraha
